His last goodbyes had been made and George was now ready to leave. The journey on the boat to Taiwan was long and tiring. He was seasick and being confined in a box for two weeks did not help! Only a small hole would let him see the moon and the stars on clear nights. Through that same hole, he was able to see the impressive Colosseum in Rome, the amazing pyramids in Egypt and the majestic Taj Mahal in India. Although he missed Québec so much, George was excited to face this new adventure.

和夥伴們感傷地道別後，喬治準備好踏上前往台灣既漫長又艱辛的路途。 在船上，喬治被安置在一個狹窄的箱子裡，一開始他很不習慣甚至暈船癱軟了將近兩星期! 每夜他只能透過箱子上的小縫，看到與在家鄉時一模一樣的明月與繁星，然而心境卻再也不同了。 箱子上的小縫能讓喬治看見令人敬畏的古羅馬競技場，看見神秘的埃及金字塔，還有輝煌的印度泰姬瑪哈陵。 此刻的喬治雖然思念家鄉魁北克，卻也興奮地期盼著那未知的挑戰。
Ses derniers adieux étaient faits et George était désormais prêt à partir. Le voyage en bateau jusqu’à Taïwan était long et épuisant. Il avait le mal de mer et le fait d’être confiné dans une boite pendant deux semaines n’aidait pas! Seul un petit trou lui permettait de voir la lune et les étoiles lorsque le ciel était dégagé. À travers ce même trou, pendant son voyage à travers le monde, il était capable de voir l’impressionnant Colisé de Rome, les formidables pyramides d’Égypte et le majestueux Taj Mahal en Inde. Malgré que le Québec lui manquait beaucoup, George était excité de vivre cette nouvelle aventure.
